The Opportunity
Childcare professionals are essential — and Birmingham needs more of them. As Reinvest Birmingham expands childcare access across the North Birmingham, Northside, Pratt, and Smithfield communities, new employment opportunities are opening up at childcare centers and community programs across the service area. These are stable, community-rooted jobs with real potential for career growth.
The Training
Reinvest Birmingham connects residents to training programs that prepare them for careers in early childhood education and childcare services. Programs are designed for residents at all experience levels — no college degree is required. You’ll build the skills needed to meet employer standards and enter the field with confidence and credential support.
The Support
Reinvest Birmingham is actively expanding childcare access — including a new center serving approximately 100 children — so that caregivers can participate in training and employment without added barriers. You’ll also have access to transportation support and workforce guidance to help you stay on track from your first training session to your first day on the job.
